Welcome to DoraBot, a Discord bot designed to enhance your experience on Discord by providing various tools and functionalities to users across the Discord platform. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of DoraBot, whether as an individual user or a server administrator. Please read these terms carefully and familiarize yourself with them.
DoraBot is developed and managed by Zak The GoAnimator, referred to in this document as "Zak," "ZTGA," or "Zak The GoAnimator." DoraBot itself is a separate entity, operating under the domain dorabot.app and serving users in alignment with these terms. While Zak oversees DoraBot's development, its operations and provisions are distinct from any other services Zak may offer through zakthegoanimator.com or related platforms.
The following Terms aim to create a fair and safe experience for all users while establishing the responsibilities and expectations of all parties involved. By using DoraBot, you indicate your agreement with these terms. If you do not accept them, you must discontinue use of the bot.
Defined Terms
To ensure clarity, the following terms have specific meanings within this document:
- "We", "Us", or "Our" refer to DoraBot as a service or the DoraBot development team.
- "The Bot" refers specifically to DoraBot as a utility or service.
- "ZTGA", "Zak", or "Zak The GoAnimator" refer to the creator and owner of DoraBot, including his associated entities.
- "Discord" refers to the communication platform on which DoraBot operates, governed by its own Terms of Service and policies.
- "You", "Your", or "User" refers to any individual or entity interacting with DoraBot, whether as a server owner, moderator, or general user.
- "Support Server" Refers to the Discord server dedicated to providing assistance and updates for DoraBot, accessible here.
By understanding and internalizing these definitions, users can better interpret the sections outlined below.
Section 1: General Usage
By using DoraBot, you agree to these Terms of Service, which define the conditions of access and use. DoraBot is a utility provided “as is” and “as available” to users on the Discord platform, designed to enhance server functionality through various tools and features. Your use of the bot is contingent upon adherence to these terms, as well as the rules and guidelines established by Discord. Failure to comply may result in restricted access to DoraBot without prior notice.
We aim to ensure DoraBot operates reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Technical limitations, updates, or unforeseen issues may occasionally disrupt service. By using DoraBot, you accept these risks and acknowledge that the bot is provided without warranties, either express or implied. Your access to DoraBot may be modified, restricted, or revoked at our discretion, with or without warning.
Section 2: Prohibited Activities
Users of DoraBot must refrain from engaging in activities that violate these terms, Discord's terms, or applicable laws. Prohibited actions include but are not limited to:
- Attempting to hack, manipulate, or exploit DoraBot in any way.
- Using DoraBot to distribute harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content.
- Inviting DoraBot to servers that host or promote NSFW (Not Safe for Work) content or that violate Discord's Terms of Service.
- Utilizing DoraBot to harass, harm, or disrupt other users or servers.
Any misuse or violation of these terms can lead to immediate suspension of access, permanent blacklisting, or reporting to Discord or legal authorities if necessary. We reserve the right to enforce these measures at our sole discretion to ensure DoraBot remains a safe and valuable resource for all users.
Section 3: Server Authorization
DoraBot only operates in servers where it has been explicitly invited by authorized members. If a server owner does not directly authorize DoraBot's presence but a member with the appropriate permissions invites the bot, its use will be considered authorized unless the server owner explicitly removes it. Server owners retain full control over the bot's permissions and access within their server.
DoraBot will not make unauthorized changes to server settings, such as banning, muting, or kicking users, unless explicitly instructed through the bot's commands. Server administrators are encouraged to review and configure DoraBot's permissions to align with their server's guidelines and policies.
Section 4: Age Requirements
DoraBot is intended for users who are at least 13 years old, as per Discord's platform guidelines. By using DoraBot, you affirm that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect or store personal information from users under 13. If it is discovered that a user is underage, steps will be taken to revoke their access to DoraBot.
For users aged 13 to 18, parental or guardian oversight is recommended to ensure the responsible and appropriate use of the bot. DoraBot does not intentionally collect sensitive personal data but encourages all users to interact responsibly.
Section 5: Limitation of Liability
DoraBot is provided “as is” and “as available,” without any guarantees of uptime, reliability, or functionality. While we strive to provide a seamless experience, technical issues, maintenance, or third-party service interruptions may impact performance. You agree that your use of DoraBot is at your own risk and that we are not liable for any damages arising from:
- Disruptions to the bot's availability.
- Errors in functionality or command execution.
- Third-party service failures that affect DoraBot's features.
By agreeing to these terms, you accept that DoraBot's operation may change, cease, or encounter issues without prior notice, and you waive claims against us for these occurrences.
Section 6: Third-Party Integrations
DoraBot integrates with various third-party services, such as APIs, to provide its features. By using the bot, you agree to abide by the terms of these third-party providers. Common integrations include but are not limited to the Google API and OpenWeatherMap API.
We are not responsible for any issues caused by third-party services, including changes to their functionality or terms. If a third-party service becomes unavailable, DoraBot's related features may be affected. While we strive to maintain compatibility, adjustments may be necessary, and users agree to bear these potential disruptions.
Section 7: Content Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for the content they generate, share, or transmit through DoraBot. Any misuse of the bot to distribute spam, harmful material, or content that violates Discord's policies is strictly prohibited. You are expected to use the bot respectfully and in accordance with both these Terms and Discord's guidelines.
We reserve the right to monitor and restrict content or behavior that harms other users or disrupts the community. Users engaging in repeated violations or harmful actions may have their access to DoraBot permanently revoked.
Section 8: Enforcement of Terms
Violations of these Terms of Service will result in consequences, including but not limited to:
- Blacklisting your Discord account from accessing DoraBot.
- Immediate removal of DoraBot from the offending server.
- Reporting severe violations to Discord or relevant authorities.
If you believe you have been unfairly penalized, you may appeal via the support server. While we review all appeals, decisions regarding enforcement are final. Repeated offenses or egregious violations will lead to permanent bans, with no opportunity for reinstatement.

DoraBot does not intentionally collect or store personal data unless explicitly required for its operation. Data collected by the bot may include the following:
- Data directly provided by users through commands for processing purposes.
- Details such as channel IDs, role IDs, and other server settings that are necessary for the bot's functionality.
- Logs of interactions with the bot to monitor performance and identify issues.
DoraBot also collects anonymous usage statistics. This data is non-identifiable and is collected solely for informational purposes to satisfy the curiosity of the bot's creator regarding how the bot is being used.
This data is processed exclusively to maintain and improve the bot's features. DoraBot adheres to the guidelines set forth by Discord's Developer Terms and Policies. Users should also review Discord's own privacy policies regarding their interactions on the platform.
Data retention policies are designed to minimize storage, and any data stored will be removed upon discontinuation of the bot's services or at our discretion.
Section 10: Intellectual Property
All code, design, features, and content of DoraBot are the intellectual property of Zak The GoAnimator, except for components that integrate with third-party services or platforms under their respective licenses. Users are prohibited from:
- Reverse engineering, attempting to disassemble, or derive the bot's source code.
- Redistributing or claiming ownership of the bot or its features.
- Creating derivative works based on DoraBot without explicit permission.
Violations of intellectual property rights may result in immediate termination of access and further legal action as deemed appropriate.
Section 11: Service Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of DoraBot without prior notice. These changes may include, but are not limited to:
- Addition or removal of features.
- Alteration of existing functionality.
- Adjustments due to compliance with Discord policies or third-party service requirements.
Users acknowledge that these changes may impact their use of the bot and agree not to hold us liable for any resulting inconvenience or disruption.
Section 12: Third-Party Services and Dependencies
DoraBot relies on third-party services for specific functionalities. While efforts are made to ensure these integrations operate smoothly, we cannot guarantee their reliability or availability. Users agree to abide by the terms of service of all integrated third-party services.
Changes or disruptions caused by third-party dependencies may impact the bot's functionality, and we are not responsible for these occurrences.
Section 13: Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to DoraBot for any user or server at our discretion. Grounds for suspension or termination may include, but are not limited to:
- Violations of these Terms of Service.
- Actions deemed harmful to the bot, its users, or the broader Discord community.
- Requests by Discord or other legal authorities.
Suspensions and terminations are final and not subject to negotiation or appeal.
Section 14: Maintenance and Downtime
DoraBot may experience periodic downtime for maintenance, updates, or unexpected technical issues. While efforts are made to minimize disruptions, users acknowledge and accept the following:
- No guarantees of uninterrupted service are provided.
- Scheduled maintenance may occur without prior notification.
- Technical issues may arise due to factors beyond our control.
We are not liable for any damages or losses caused by downtime or maintenance activities.
Section 15: Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. By using DoraBot, you agree that any disputes arising from the use of DoraBot will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
Users are responsible for ensuring their use of DoraBot complies with the laws and regulations of their respective countries or regions. However, these Terms shall remain governed by Ontario law, irrespective of the user's location.
Section 16: Indemnification
By using DoraBot, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zak The GoAnimator and all associated entities from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms of Service.
- Your misuse of DoraBot.
- Any third-party claims arising from your actions or content shared through the bot.
This indemnification extends to legal fees, costs, and damages incurred by us in connection with such claims.
Section 17: Respect for Tim Hortons
In recognition of the deep cultural importance Tim Hortons holds within certain communities, and in keeping with the spirit of respect and light-hearted fun that DoraBot seeks to promote, users are hereby strongly discouraged from including DoraBot in any server that engages in repeated or institutionalized negativity toward Tim Hortons.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Channels or threads dedicated to disparaging Tim Hortons products or services.
- Bots, commands, or server events centered around Tim Hortons slander.
- Blatant and unrepentant claims that other restaurant chains are "objectively better" without acknowledging the unique cultural significance of Tim Hortons and its contributions to DoraBot's development.
We maintain that reverence for Tim Hortons is not merely a preference, but a principle. While users are welcome to hold their own tastes and opinions, persistent anti-Tims sentiment will be regarded as incompatible with the DoraBot ecosystem.
