Defined Terms

  • "We", "Us", or "Our" refer to DoraBot as a service or the DoraBot development team.
  • "The Bot" refers specifically to DoraBot as a utility or service.
  • "ZTGA", "Zak", or "Zak The GoAnimator" refer to the creator and owner of DoraBot, including his associated entities.
  • "Discord" refers to the communication platform on which DoraBot operates, governed by its own Terms of Service and policies.
  • "You", "Your", or "User" refers to any individual or entity interacting with DoraBot, whether as a server owner, moderator, or general user.
  • "Support Server" Refers to the Discord server dedicated to providing assistance and updates for DoraBot, accessible here.

1. Information Collection

DoraBot minimizes data collection to protect user privacy. Data is collected only when necessary to provide specific functionalities.

1.1 Types of Information Collected

  • Non-Personal Data: Includes server IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, and command usage logs for troubleshooting and improving bot performance.
  • User-Provided Data for Features: Users can enable features like birthday announcements by providing their birth day and month. The year of birth is optional.
  • Temporary Command Inputs: Inputs for processing specific commands are used temporarily and deleted immediately after processing.

1.2 Data Not Collected

  • DoraBot does not store user messages, chat logs, or track background activity on Discord.
  • Personally identifiable information (PII) is not collected unless explicitly provided by the user for features like birthday announcements.

2. Data Usage

Data collected by DoraBot is used solely for providing bot functionalities and improving user experience.

  • Permitted Use: To enable features such as birthday announcements or execute user commands.
  • Prohibited Use: Data is not used for advertising, targeted marketing, or profiling.

3. Data Retention

DoraBot retains data only as long as necessary to provide requested services.

  • Command Inputs: Deleted immediately after processing.
  • Birthday Data: Retained until the user disables the feature. Users cannot delete their birthdays directly; support must be contacted for removal.
  • Server-Specific Data: Automatically deleted when DoraBot is removed from a server. A 30-day grace period for reactivation may be introduced in the future.

4. Third-Party Sharing

DoraBot does not sell or share user data with third parties.

4.1 Third-Party APIs

DoraBot integrates with third-party services like Google API and OpenWeatherMap for enhanced functionality. These services may process user input temporarily but do not store or misuse data.

5. Data Security

DoraBot implements strong security measures to protect processed data.

  • Encrypted transmission of data where applicable.
  • Minimal data storage to reduce potential risks.

6. User Rights

  • Users can modify their birth year using commands but must contact support to correct or delete their birthdays.
  • Users can opt out of features and remove the bot from servers at any time to delete related data.

7. Birthday Announcement Feature

  • Participation: Voluntary. Users must provide their birth day and month to enable announcements.
  • Data Modification: Users can modify the year via commands but must rely on support to correct day or month.
  • Opt-Out: Users can disable announcements. Data removal requires contacting support.

8. Modifications to the Privacy Policy

Changes to this policy may occur to reflect new features or legal requirements. Continued use of DoraBot indicates acceptance of updates.
